Man steals items from California Walmart and threatens employees with realistic pellet gun

Occurred November 1, 2013.

A man stole some items from a Walmart store in Red Bluff, California.  When he was confronted by store employees, he threatened them with a handgun and fled.

He and a female accomplice were later arrested with the stolen items in their car, along with drug paraphenalia, and the handgun, which turned out to be a realistic-looking pellet gun.

From an article:
Around 8:48 a.m. Red Bluff Police officers were called to Walmart for a reported theft in progress, according to a department press release.

Officers conducted a high risk stop of the vehicle with the assistance of K-9 unit Many and detained Aaron William Ashby and Ana Renee Spangle.
The investigation revealed that Ashby had stolen items from Walmart.
When he was confronted by a store employee, Ashby displayed a firearm arm, later determined to be a pellet gun.
Ashby fled the area to a vehicle, being driven by Spangle, waiting for him behind Big 5 Sporting Goods.
